What you need

Needles

Felt Alive Felting Needle Six-Pack
  • Yellow 40 triangle single
  • Orange 40 star single (a little stronger)
  • Orange 40 star double — speedier felting around the wire
  • A spare needle

Wool

  • A variety of batting and roving colors — these projects do not take much wool (Kay reviews amounts in chapter 1)

Tools

  • Foam felting pad (8×10" or larger)
  • Felting stick (paper lollipop stick or wooden skewer)
  • Strong sewing needle — used as a sculpting tool, not for sewing
  • Florist wire and wire cutters
